One coach, one written plan and a person watching every working set. Personal training at ChoiceUpliftLane is for anyone tired of guessing — whether the goal is a first pull-up or a 200kg deadlift.
01 / The offer
Every PT block starts with a movement screen and an honest talk about what you're actually after. From there your coach writes the week, runs the sessions and tracks the numbers so you can just show up and work.
Book a trial PT session this week. If the fit isn't right after one hour, you owe us nothing and we'll point you at the option that suits you better.
02 / In detail
Group energy is great, but some things need quiet attention: a shoulder that clicks, a squat that folds forward, a goal with a date on it. In a PT session there's nowhere to hide and nothing left to chance — every rep gets eyes on it.
Our PT clients range from complete beginners to national-level lifters. The common thread is they want progress measured in weeks, not years. Your coach builds the plan around your joints, your schedule and the equipment you'll actually use.
If your numbers haven't moved after two full training blocks — and you've done the sessions — your next block is free. That's been the deal since 2019 and we've honoured it twice.
Numbers pulled from member program cards and booking logs, updated October 2026.
03 / Pricing
All prices NZD with GST already in. Memberships and packs sit side by side so you can compare like for like — the full club price list is on the prices page.
45 minutes with your coach. Good for a technique check or a one-off push.
Same coach, 12 weeks to use it. Our most popular PT option — works out to $69 a session.
Two people, one coach, two separate programs running side by side.
The Coached membership ($129/week) already includes 2 PT sessions weekly — cheaper than packs if you want weekly one-on-ones plus classes.
04 / The process
Six steps from first chat to a working plan. Nothing mysterious — just a structure that's worked on a few hundred people before you.
Chat and screen
30 minutes on your history, injuries and goal. Then we watch you move — squat, hinge, push, pull — and note what's really going on.
Plan the block
Your coach writes an 8-week block around your schedule and the goal you agreed on. You get it on your program card before session two.
Learn the lifts
First sessions are technique-heavy. We slow everything down, film the big lifts and drill positions until they stick.
Train the block
Weekly sessions with weights that go up on purpose. Your coach adjusts on the day — bad sleep, tight hip, whatever shows up.
Test and review
End of block we retest the numbers from week one and put them side by side. Then we write the next block around what changed.
Keep or level up
Most people roll into another block or move to a hybrid week — PT for the hard stuff, classes for the volume.
05 / Combine it
Most members mix two or three services in a week. These are the combos we see working best.
PT + Open gym — the classic setup. Coached session for the hard work, solo sessions to bank the volume.
PT + Nutrition coaching — if body composition is the goal, training is only half the spreadsheet.
06 / On the floor
A few frames from recent one-on-one blocks — different people, different goals, same floor.

07 / Your coach
Daniel runs most PT blocks himself, backed by Josh for powerlifting-specific work and Sophie for return-to-training clients. Between them: 30+ years of coaching and a shelf of competition medals.
